Carob is a small hardwood native to the eastern Mediterranean and grows in California, Florida, and parts of the South. It produces pulpy, sucrose-rich pods. Because of the pod’s natural sweetness and chocolate-like flavor, it’s become a favorite health food alternative. Seeds were used to weigh gold, hence the word “carat” from which the name Carob evolved. This strong and beautiful wood with beautiful grain patterns. It’s known as a protective wood, binding prosperity and strength. A surprisingly strong-willed and magical wood, Carob is highly protective, resistant to unwanted energies, and excels at both spiritual and physical healing. The flow of the wood gives a calming effect. Paua Shell’s meaning is one of solace, a connection to the ocean, the cycle of life, protection, and ancient travel. It is soothing, calming, and peaceful; relieves anxiety, stress, and insomnia; promotes compassion, love; strengthens bones. Turtle symbolism and meanings include longevity, perseverance, steadfastness, protection, retreat, healing, tranquility, the Earth, and transformation. This Altar measures 6” wide and 13” long. $156
