Beginning meditation is a tender space of hope and discovery. Meditation helps create some space between yourself and thoughts. We begin by having an attitude of openness, eagerness, and lack of preconceptions.
Scar the humpback whale would swim under the submarine and begin bringing the ROV back to the surface. We assumed Scar thought the small sub was a baby, and she was trying to bring it closer to the surface so that the baby could breathe.
We see prayer can put us in touch with something infinitely greater than we are. Making prayer a part of daily practice brings a little clarity and space into life’s confusion.
We begin to develop our higher ideals that become a living guidepost. An ideal is held to the light of circumstance, an inquiry rather than an answer. Ideals are not an invention but an expression of the heart’s core.
