The ability to control our attention is key to achieving personal power. Our thoughts and emotions are constantly vying for our attention, but it’s up to us to decide where we focus our mental energy. By intentionally directing our attention towards what truly matters, we can exert greater influence over our own lives.
Cultivate Awe
We often think of awe as something that happens to us when we see something truly breathtaking. However, awe can also be cultivated – and doing so may have some practical benefits. Awe is associated with a sense of vastness and wonderment. When we experience awe, we may feel small and insignificant in comparison to the grandeur of the world around us.
Live Life Fearlessly
Choosing to focus on the good that comes with being alive helps balance out any difficulties we might face. When we live fearlessly, we develop a taste of limitless love, wisdom, compassion, and joy. Believing in our relationships with everyone gives us the confidence to take on challenges.
Loving The World
I know that there are problems in the world, but I choose to focus on the good. I choose to see the beauty in everyday moments and appreciate all that this world has to offer. From big things like watching a sunset to small things like listening to birds singing, there is so much to love about this world.
