It’s Our Nature To Bloom

This week’s Contemplative Living Podcast discusses the fact that it’s in our nature to blossom. A tree might generate thousands of seeds in one year, but how many emerge as trees? All too often, we feel held back by obligation or even voluntarily adopt a materialistic mindset. To break free from these ties and reach our full potential, we need to tap into our spiritual aspect. In today’s highly individualistic culture, we become attached to our identity and autonomy. But remember, it’s not us who are doing the work – it’s our practice that is working on us! Our spiritual practice has a profound impact on us and helps us bloom. We can stay devoted to our goals and draw all the necessary strength from them as we progress through life. It is indeed our nature to bloom – let’s start doing so right away!

How many seeds does a tree produce each year, and how many become trees?

As we stroll through lush forests or marvel at towering giants in our concrete jungles, have you ever wondered just how many seeds these majestic trees bear each year? And further still, how many of these tiny treasures manage to find their way into sprouting new life?

These generous beings give rise to countless offspring every year, hopeful that even a fraction will evade adversity and take root.

Yet not all who wander are lost—some embark on extraordinary journeys seeking fertile soil far beyond their birthplaces. Dispersed by clever means such as gusts of wind or hitching rides with curious creatures, these daring adventurers strive for survival against all odds.

But even among those blessed with abundance and ingenuity, only a select few shall unveil their true potential as grand sentinels. The path from seedling to mighty oak is treacherous; threats lurk at every turn.

Our Spiritual Nature inspires and encourages us to enter a mystery of potential.

Our Spiritual Nature inspires and encourages us to enter a mystery of potential. It beckons us to explore the depths of our being, unearthing hidden treasures that lie within. Just as a seed carries within itself the blueprint for its growth into a magnificent flower, so too do we possess an innate capacity for blooming.

In this journey towards self-discovery, we step into the domain of the unknown—a realm where possibilities are boundless and limitations dissolve before our very eyes. Our spiritual nature serves as our guide in navigating this vast terrain, gently nudging us towards paths less traveled.

Like explorers charting new territories, we embark on a quest to unlock the secrets held deep within ourselves. With each step forward, we shed old layers of conditioning and embrace our authentic selves more fully. We peel back the veil obscuring our true essence—unveiling facets of beauty and strength that were previously unseen.

As we delve deeper into this mysterious realm, it becomes evident that there is no end point; rather, it is an ever-unfolding process—an ongoing dance between discovery and surrender. The more we engage with our spiritual nature, the more it reveals itself to us—like a radiant sunrise painting colors across an endless sky.

You think you are working on your spiritual practice, but it is the practice that is working on you.

We diligently engage in meditation, or mindfulness exercises, believing that these practices will lead us to enlightenment and inner peace. Yet little do we realize that it is not us who orchestrate this profound metamorphosis; instead, it is the very act of practicing itself that molds and shapes us.

Just as a bud unfolds its delicate petals without conscious effort, our spiritual practice unravels layers within ourselves we never knew existed. It tenderly moves through the recesses of our being like a gentle breeze caressing each leaf on a tree. Every moment spent in contemplation or stillness chips away at egoic barriers and nurtures seeds of compassion and self-awareness.

We may believe we hold all the power over our practice—but in truth, it holds an equal sway over us. The consistent rhythm of dedication gradually guides us towards areas where personal growth awaits – beckoning us to confront fears or embrace vulnerability.

We can hold to our intentions and use them to meet everything we encounter on our journey. It is our nature to bloom.

Intentions, often seen as ethereal wisps of thought, have the remarkable power to shape our reality. Just like a seed carries within it the blueprint for a magnificent flower, intentions carry within them the potential for transformative growth.

Life is an unpredictable path filled with both joys and challenges. Yet when we firmly anchor ourselves in our intentions, we create a guiding light that illuminates even the darkest corners of uncertainty. It’s this beacon that empowers us to navigate through life’s twists and turns with grace and resilience.
