In this week’s Contemplative Living Podcast – we look into what teachers and philosophers of all time have taught. It is said that the universe is in our hearts, yet we have to find out for ourselves. By looking directly into our own hearts, we find a clear experience of how things really are. Using kindness, we seek clarity. Without clarity and honesty, we don’t progress. When we look into our hearts, we discover what is baffling, brilliant, bitter, and what is sweet. We’re discovering ourselves. Have the willingness and bravery to discover the universe within. Everything is awake, precious, and whole. We regard thoughts and emotions with kindness and openness. The experience of opening to the world benefits us and others simultaneously.
Look Directly Into Our Own Heart
The benefit when we look directly into our own hearts, is we can see the universe reflected back at us. Our heart is a microcosm of the cosmos, and within it lies all the answers to the mysteries of life. If we can learn to listen to our heart, we will always know the right thing to do.
The heart is the source of our emotions, and it is also where our deepest wisdom resides. If we can quiet our mind and open our heart, we will be able to access this wisdom and guidance. The heart knows what is best for us and will always lead us in the right direction.
When we are faced with a decision, we can simply ask our heart what we should do. Then, we need to trust that whatever answer comes will be the right one for us. We may not always understand why our heart wants us to do something, but if we follow its guidance, we will always end up exactly where we need to be.
Through Meditation We Find The Universe
As we meditate, we go within and connect with our true nature. Then we realize that we are not just the little ego-self, but vast and infinite beings. We connect with the universal energy that flows through all of us. Becoming one with all that is. In meditation, we still the mind and go beyond the thinking process. We enter into the silence of the present moment. In that silence, we can hear the voice of our heart and the voice of the universe.
We come to know what is truly important in life. We connect with our higher purpose and find meaning in our lives. Through meditation, we open our hearts and minds to receive guidance from our higher selves, our guides, and the universe itself. We tap into a wisdom far greater than our own individual minds could ever hope to comprehend. We find peace, love, and joy in the midst of whatever chaos may be going on in our lives or in the world around us.
