Am I Now or Then?

In this week’s Contemplative Living Podcast, I Examine the question “Am I now or then?” Present moments come and go like ripples and waves in the ocean of mindful awareness. Now is the meeting of timeless spacious awareness with the relative world and conventional time. Mindfulness meditation asks us to notice moment-to-moment changes. Each moment of experience arises and passes, giving us the wisdom of impermanence. Observing awareness helps us let go. It helps break the illusion of a separate self, which gives us relief from suffering. Wake up. We are already in the Now—However, we are not always aware of being in the Now. When we shift into awareness of being in the Now, our whole sense of reality changes for the better.

Change Is A State Of Life

Change is a natural and essential part of life. It is something that we all experience, and something that we all must learn to deal with. Change can be difficult, but it can also be exciting and full of opportunity. Learning to embrace change is an important part of living a fulfilling life. There are many things in life that are constant, but change is not one of them. Change is happening all around us all the time. The world is constantly changing, and so are we. As we experience different things and meet new people, we grow and change. Our tastes and preferences change, our outlooks on life change, and even our physical appearance changes over time.

While some people may resist change, it is important to remember that change is inevitable. Embracing change can help us to adapt to the ever-changing world around us and to lead more fulfilling lives. When we face changes in our lives, it is important to stay positive and to look for the opportunities that change can bring. Change can be challenging, but it can also be a chance for us to grow and learn new things. Embracing change with a positive attitude can help us to make the most of every situation.

We Are Already In The Now

Being in the present moment is one of the most important things you can do for your mental and emotional health. When you’re in the present moment, you’re not worrying about the future or dwelling on the past. You’re living in the here and now, and that’s where all your power is.The present moment is a gift, and it’s one we should all cherish. It’s a chance to be alive and experience everything that life has to offer. When you’re in the present moment, you’re fully alive and engaged with what’s happening around you. You’re not distracted by your thoughts or emotions. You’re simply present.

Being present doesn’t mean that you don’t have any thoughts or feelings. It just means that you’re not letting them control you. You’re aware of them, but you don’t dwell on them. You let them come and go without getting caught up in them.Living in the present moment is a skill that takes practice. The more you do it, the easier it becomes. Start by setting aside some time each day to focus on being present. Pay attention to your breath and use it as a anchor to bring you back to the present whenever you find yourself getting lost in your thoughts. With time and practice, being present will become second nature.
