Stay Resilient

In this week’s Contemplative Living livestream, I examine how we can stay resilient. Cultivating a compassionate heart can help us stay resilient; as we rely on our intention to trust in a wider perspective. Contemplate how we can live in the best ways possible in the face of uncertainty. Hear the heart of the world beat. Surrender so your heart may beat in unison with the heart of the world. Hold yourself with kindness and tender care. Acceptance of what is allows us to let the reality of the world in, even if it’s harsh. With no whitewashing or condoning of wrongdoing, instead, it means seeing clearly. Those who know themselves and care for their physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual health can be effective and resilient. It is essential we meet an uncertain future by staying resilient.

Adaptability

In these uncertain times, it’s more important than ever to have a plan for how you’ll stay resilient. Here are some tips:First, take a step back and assess your current situation. What do you have control over? What can you change? Identify your goals and make a plan for how you’ll achieve them.Next, focus on your mindset. Resilient people see setbacks as temporary and surmountable. They view challenges as opportunities to learn and grow. Adopt this positive outlook and you’ll be better equipped to handle whatever comes your way. Finally, build your support network. Stay connected with friends and family, join supportive online communities, or seek professional help if needed. Knowing you’re not alone will make tough times feel more manageable.

Changing Course

It is never too late to change course. No matter how old you are, or how set in your ways, it is always possible to make a change. And sometimes, making a change is exactly what you need to do in order to stay resilient. There are many reasons why you might need to change course. Perhaps your current situation is no longer working for you. Maybe you’ve hit a roadblock that you can’t seem to get past. Or maybe you’re just ready for something new. Whatever the reason, don’t be afraid to make a change.

Of course, changing course can be scary. It can be intimidating to step out of your comfort zone and into the unknown. But remember, resilience is all about bouncing back from adversity. So if changing course is what it takes to stay resilient, then that’s what you need to do. Take your time, do your research, and trust your gut. When you’re ready, make the change and never look back.
